1. Why might coaching benefit you?

A coaching conversation could help you think in new ways, unlock your personal or professional potential and help you make positive life choices.

Some people use coaching to help them deal with difficult situations or relationships in their lives or careers. Others use coaching to open up new possibilities and maximise opportunities.

As a qualified coach, I specialise in helping people to deal with difficult relationships or situations; improve their work – life balance; unlock their own unique strengths and passions; plan their careers and prepare for interviews.

2. What happens at a coaching session?

You are the expert in your life. My role as a coach is therefore is to listen deeply and to help you to use your own unique strengths and abilities to find solutions to the challenges you face.

As the expert, you’ll set the agenda for our sessions. We’ll work at a pace, and using a style, to help you take positive steps forward.

Like all good relationships we’ll start by building trust and rapport.  We’ll explore together the challenge you are facing, identify goals you wish to achieve and we’ll agree how coaching can help you move forward.

We’ll then begin to work together to help you think in new ways, unlock your strengths and help you find a path forward.

3. What qualifications do you have?

I am qualified as an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, a global network of 30,000 accredited coaches. To gain this qualification I completed 150 hours of training, delivered 100 client coaching hours and had my coaching practice assessed through an exam and by an independent assessor.

I hold a Masters in Social Work and worked for 3 years helping high risk young offenders to make positive life choices.

With 20 years experience as a Director in the Third Sector, I have enabled scores of staff and hundreds of volunteers to optimise thier strengths, navigate challenges and improve the lives of tens of thousands of beneficiaries.

4. What’s the difference between coaching and counselling?

Coaching is about working with people to help them develop personally or professionally.

Counselling or therapy, on the other hand, focuses on helping clients to improve their mental or emotional well-being.

5. How confidential will our conversations be?

Coaching conversations are safe, supportive environment to help you grow and develop. As a result, our conversations will be confidential, bounded by the International Coaching Federations ethics and values. The only exceptions to this are if there is a disclosure which poses a risk of harm to yourself or others.

6. How much will a coaching session cost?
